Anna Maria Detweiler
Noted events in her life were: • Immigration, 1717. We immigrated with the Clemens. We were part of the 393 passengers that traveled to Pennsylvania from the Palatinate. Anna married Johannes Jacob Clymer, son of Rev. Valentine Clemmer and Barbara Beyer, about 1732. (Johannes Jacob Clymer was born on 30 Aug 1711 in Friedelsheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany and died in 1737 in Salford Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.) Marriage Notes: Heinrich and Johannes Klemmer arrived at Philadelphia September 5, 1730 on the ship "Alexander and Ann". Johannes (John) Clemmer settled in Salford Township where he owned 100 acres of land on which he paid quit rent prior to 1734. It is presumed that they were brothers. John died in 1737. Henry Clemmer and John Detwiler signed the bond of the widow, Ann (nee Detwiler) Clemmer as the administrator of his estate under date of December 24, 1737. |
