• will, 8 Jun 1761. I wrote out my will:

I leave my wife 1/ 3 of all my goods and chattel, plus one half of all the profit s of his plantation until my youngest son Samuel reaches the age of twenty one. I leave my son Abraham L10 as well as my best horse, a saddle, bridle and a complete pair of gears for drawing provided he stayed and worked on the place until he is twent y-one. Most importantly, I leave my two youngest sons all o f my lands, provided that they stayed and worked on them and that each of them paid his executors L10 annually for 15 years. Also, they are to take care of their mother for the rest of her life, providing her with set quantities of wheat, hay, pork, milk, firewood and so on. Also, if she so choses Abraham is to buil d for her a smaller house which he could deduct from the L150 due the estate for the plantation. When Samuel reachs the age to marry, Abraham is to see that he builds a house and a barn on the property for his family. I leave my son Henry Jr. L100 which he has already received. Each of my five daughters received L50. My oldest son Jacob is already deceased and has received more than his fair share of my possessions. I named three of my sons in law as executors of my estate
