Joseph Gaylord

  Noted events in his life were:

• Biography. ⁵⁵¹ he was one of the first settlers of Waterbury, having a property worth eighty pounds. He was a collector of minister's rates in 1698, 1699 and 1700. His lot was on the corner of East and Main Streets next to John Stanley's. He removed in 1707 to Durham where He died in 1711.

Joseph married Sarah Stanley, daughter of Captain John Stanley and Sarah Scott, on 14 Jul 1670 in Windsor, Connecticut. (Sarah Stanley was born on 18 Feb 1652 in Farmington, Connecticut and died on 12 Feb 1711 in Durham, Middlesex, Connecticut, USA.)
