Noted events in his life were: • Immigration, Bef 1656. • Occupation: trader and innkeep. • Occupation: trapper, 1661. 524 In 1661, I agreed to work for Adriaan Appel for one year at the price of 35 beavers. • Moved. I later moved to Schenectady where I owned the third flat on the south side of the Mohawk River, about 8 miles above Schenectady. • Occupation, 1676. In 1676 I became a magistrate of Schenectady and supervisor in 1701. • appointed, 1701. In 1701, I was the supervisor of the town of Schenectady. • Sold, 1706. I sold the west half to my neighbor Jan Pieterse Mebie. Daniel married Maria Groot, daughter of Symon Symonse Groot and Rebecca Du Trieux, about 1669 in Schenectady, New York. (Maria Groot was born about 1654 in Beverwyck, Albany County, New York and died after 1695 in Schenectady, Albany, New York.) Marriage Notes: Van Antwerpen married Maria daughter of Symon symonse Groot and had five sons and three daughters all of whom arrived at maturity and left families. |
