Noted events in his life were: • Emigration, 1656, New York. Emigrated in 1656; settled first in NY, but in Albany by 1666, andlater at Norman Kill. Aged 106. • Family Origin. Omie de la grange was of Huguenot extraction and came from France to America in 1656 and to Fort Orange, now Albany, New York in 1664. Omie married Annetje De Vries, daughter of Johannes De Vries and Margarieta Costers, in 1663. (Annetje De Vries was born in 1650 and died in 1735 in New York, New York.) |
