  Noted events in his life were:

• Property. ^402,403,404 On January 2, 1664, March 10, 1666 and November 1, 1666, I was on record as a neighboring property owner in the polder "Kemmet. I was again mentioned in documents dated January 1, 1669, March 24, 1683 and January 7, 1695.

The “Kammet” is located within the larger polder of “Opperste” in the eastern part of Andel. This same property is mentioned on June 27, 1693 when it is stated that my occupation was that of Schout of Wijk and that I owed a rent of 6 guilders, yearly, on a piece of property in Andel, at which time mychildren signed a letter in which they abandon this land and left it to the village of Andel. The rent had been paid to 1690. After this the village had leased the property.

• purchase, 27 Jan 1668. ^405,406 I purchased some ground in Andel from Jan Heijmansz Rosa, for the amount of 125 guilders. This land located in the “Sint Rombouts Polder”, was located in the northwestern part of the village, next to Giessen. I sold this same property on December 9, 1676 to Jan Bastiaensz Crullart for 77 guilders.

Joost married Anneke Roosa, daughter of Heijman Gijsbertsz Roosa and Eijken Jan Kuijstendr. (Anneke Roosa was born in 1621 in Andel, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands and died before 6 Jun 1661.)
