(Abt 1580-Bef 1651) |
Heijman Gijsbertsz Roosa
Noted events in his life were: • Leased, 1608. 328 In 1608, I leased a "tiend" in NeerAndel, blocknumber 3 • faith, 24 Dec 1612. I joined the Dutch Reformed Church. • Occupation, 1623. 329 I am a “collecteur der verpondingen” (collector of taxes) in Andel. • Charged, 4 Mar 1626. 330 I was charged 25 guilders payable to two minor children of Lord Walraven Van Heijdenwijck for two certain properties. • Sold, 20 Jul 1630. 331 My brother Abraham, the children of my late brother Alert and I sold to Henderick Dircksen Feyter the title deed of a piece of yard and orchard in Herwijnen called Beyerslant which we had inherited from our father. • Transferred, 1636. 332 I transferred 5 ½ hont land that was situated in the “Geertgeshoeff” to my brother Abraham Gijsberts. • Notes of Interest. In the Netherlands there is a debate as to who was the “first” Lord of Arkel. What is not in dispute is the story that a man by the name of Heijman was in fact an historical character who resided in Arkel in the tenth century: • Tax List, 1614. 333 My name is listed on the tax rolls for Andel. Heijman married Eijken Jan Kuijstendr, daughter of Anthonis Cornelisz Kuijstendr and Mariken Aerts Willemsdr, on 24 Dec 1612 in Gelderland, Netherlands. (Eijken Jan Kuijstendr was born about 1592 in Andel, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands and died before 1642 in Herwijnen, Gelderland, Netherlands.) Heijman next married Metjie Gysertsor De Roos after 1642 in Gelderland, Netherlands. |
