Christian Borneman
Noted events in his life were: • lived: Perkiomen Creek area, three miles from the Borneman land, 1772 to 1794. I settled about three miles north of my father's place, on the Perkiomen Creek in about the year 1772. I lived there until 1794, when I moved to Limerick township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. During the winter, I lived with my father and helped him haul bar-iron to philadelphia for Maberry's Forge. In return we would bring back such goods as were needed by his employed hands. • Military, 1776. 139 I participated in the Revolutionary War carrying supplies to Valley Forge and by serving as a Private 8th Class Penna Military 4th Battalion. • Occupation: Carpenter. 140 I worked for the Zimmerman family as a carpenter. • Property: Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. I bought the land next to the Limerick Church. • Moved, 1794, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. • Illness. In later years, he became feeble and almost blind.
