son of Henry Zimmerman. He was born in dellenburg, Holland where an $80,000,000 legacy was to revert from if a certain John Zimmerman, a bachelor, and brother to Henry Zimmerman above mentioned and all the lineal descendants of the Zimmerman family in the mother country, should have died out. There ws application made in America to trace up the family. Notices were posted in newspapers as lawyers searched for lineal descendants a Jacob Zimmerman descended from this line saw a notice in the Reading, Berks Cunty paper. He began to search his ancestral lineage to search for the first Zimmerman that came over, and soon found that his grandfather, Herman Zimmerman with his mother and another brother had come to America from Holland. He traced up the time of their departure, obtained the pass port, the clergy that performed the rites at the funeral and then started his search for Herman and Susanna Borneman's marriage certificate which was all that was needed in order to claim the $80,000,000. The marriage certificate was not found, so they were not able to claim the money at the Courts of Holland therefor, the money reverted to the government of Holland. . they had Herman, Henry, Christian, Daniel, Jacob, Abraham, Catharine, Barbara and Susanna.
