Stanley, oliver Stanley, Samuel Stanley, Selah Stanley, Seth Stanley, Thomas Stanley, and Timothy Stanley. Abraham, Gad, Samuel and James Stanley were from Conneticut. Abraham and Timothy Sedwick were also in the Revolutionary War. Abraham Sedwick was a Captain in the army. Abraham Sedwick, Samuel Stanley and James Stanley were from Hartford, Conneticut.

In the 1891, Lake County history book, Aralzeman Stanley states that his great grandfather fought in the Revolutionary war, so it seems that Samuel Stanley from Hartford was the great grandfather of Monroe K. Stanley who was an older brother of Aralzeman Stanley. Abraham Sedwich may also be an ancestor of the Barkey's.

Samuel married Joanna Goodman, daughter of Timothy Goodman and Joanna Wadsworth, in 1754 in West Hartford, Connecticut. (Joanna Goodman was born in 1734 in West Hartford, Connecticut and died on 25 Feb 1800.)
